ParticleMon

The flagship of the ThermaLytics product line is the real-time continuous process particle monitoring software known as ParticleMon. ParticleMon is a data acquisition system and full analysis suite rolled into one refined and easy to use product. The system is designed with data integrity and flexibility in mind. All raw data is saved such that the user may playback the file at any time from the convenience of an office while manipulating almost every configuration available. This ensures that each user gets the customized experience that they demand.

TemperMon

The latest software offering from ThermaLytics is TemperMon. This customizable suite will operate based on the same principles as ParticleMon. Features such as raw data retention, real-time analysis, and playback capabilities all flow from ParticleMon to allow users to upgrade their portfolio without having to learn any new software packages. TemperMon's focus is on the real time temperature monitoring of continuous flow systems. Displays can be configured for instant digital readouts or rolling trend graphs. Multiple monitor support can also allow for dedicated screens for each purpose.

Portable Monitoring System

The Portable Monitoring System is a small scale and low cost method for easy transportability of the ThermaLytics Monitoring System. All of the required electronics are built into the bottom of the foam liner in the case with form fitted cutouts for the laptop with ParticleMon pre-installed. With this sytem a user can walk into anything from a pilot plant to a full production facility and start taking measurements within a matter of minutes. This system is the ultimate in convenience for any user looking to get started on preliminary validation studies in a new operating environment. All hardware is compatible with the larger Integrated Monitoring System.

Integrated Monitoring System

The Integrated Monitoring System is a full scale particle monitoring system ready for any pilot plant for production facility. The integrated system includes the optionality of up to 16 channels of synchronous data collection at 1,000 Hz and beyond. This system can handle pipe diameters of up to 4" that can detect even the smallest carrier particles. Each channel is capable of handling up to 8 sensors or expandable with 8 additional summation amplifiers for a total of 64 sensors. Options on this system include automated injection notification and automated particle extraction. This system includes a dedicated industrial PC capable of up to 4 monitors with automated data backup to a repository server so that the post process analysis can be performed from the convenience of an office without the hassle of copying or transporting potentially large data files.

Carrier Particles

ThermaLytics has developed carrier particles that can be used to simulate virtually any food particle that would be run through a continuous process. Through careful design considerations and selection of specific polymers we can even mimic the properties of the product being simulated in a way that is slightly more conservative in all aspects to ensure product safety. These particles currently come in 6 different shapes and sizes including 2 geometries, cubes and spheres, and are currently produced in several different materials. Each particle is buoyant without a load and can be loaded to achieve neutral buoyancy. Tag implants can include the magnetic implants detected by the monitoring system or biological implants for validation. A combination of implants may also be used to both track and validate at the same time.

Materials are selected based on the user's preference and desired measurement criteria. Whether you are focused on residence time measurements and finding the fastest moving particle or thermally conservative design we have a particle to fit your needs.

Tag Implants

At the heart of the ThermaLytics monitoring systems are the traceable tag implants. These implants can come in almost any required size or shape to minimize weight and maximize buoyancy of the carrier particle. Each tag is heat stable up to 150C and can be as light as 1/10th of a gram.

Thermosensitive tags are also available for heat penetration measurement and can be set to trigger at several critical temperatures. The selection of thermosensitive implants is a very critical component of a proper validation study which is why we provide support along every step of the process.
